30% of adults have high blood pressure and up to half are not receiving treatment. In the US this figure doubles, not to mention that 26% of people who take blood lowering medications, all of which have side effects, still do not have their blood pressure under control. Up to 90% of all cases of impotence are now known to be directly related to “vascular insufficiency”.
The scary thing is that most people don’t know that they have a cardiovascular disease until it is too late.
Most People Don’t Know They Have Cardiovascular Disease Until It Is Too Late
Look around you, for every 4 people, 1 person is likely to die from a cardiovascular disease (CVD). 53% of these deaths occur in women. Frightening isn’t it?
Yet increasing your nitric oxide and changing your lifestyle can significantly help to reduce your risks or even reverse your cardiovascular disease.
To put that in perspective, in the UK that’s 1 person every 3 minutes and in America, 1 person has a heart attack every 42 seconds. It is the number one killer. 30% of adults have high blood pressure and up to half are not receiving treatment. In the US this figure doubles, not to mention that 26% of people who take blood lowering medications, all of which have side effects, still do not have their blood pressure under control.Up to 90% of all cases of impotence are now known to be directly related to “vascular insufficiency”. The scary thing is that most people don’t know that they have a cardiovascular disease until it is too late.
What is Cardiovascular Disease?
Cardiovascular disease covers all diseases of the heart and circulation, including angina (chest pain), coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure, cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation. The biggest cause is plaque.
Plaque is the build-up of fatty deposits on the inner walls of the blood vessels that supply the heart or brain. Plaque build-up thickens and stiffens artery walls, which can inhibit blood flow through your arteries to your organs and tissues.
Can Cardiovascular Disease Be Reversed?
The answer is a hearty YES.
You need to clear the plaque and improve blood circulation. You can usually do this naturally by increasing your nitric oxide production and making specific lifestyle changes. However, if you are under medical care, you should not discontinue your medication until signed off by your GP. Most people follow the natural regime in parallel and eventually are taken off medication.
Increase your Nitric Oxide (NO)
In 1998, three brilliant scientists – Louis Ignarro, Ferid Murad and Robert Furchgott won the Nobel Prize in Medicine discovered “the atom” for cardiovascular health.
They discovered a tiny molecule called nitric oxide which is produced by the body specifically to help keep arteries and veins free of the plague that causes stroke and abnormal blood pressure.
Nitric Oxide relaxes arteries allowing for the free flow of blood and preventing coronaries.
The good news is that you can increase your nitric oxide production.
Where Does Nitric Oxide Come From?
Don’t go rushing to your dentist to get some laughing gas – that is nitrous oxide. Or go distilling dynamite – that is nitric acid.
The answer is L’arginine.
L’arginine is a naturally produced protein building block (amino acid) that is converted into nitric oxide in the body.
Where Can I Get L-arginine?
Although L-arginine is found is some foods such as red meat, fish, chicken, beans, soy and nuts, you cannot normally consume enough in your diet.
So you need to use supplements to increase your nitric oxide production.
What Should I Look For In A Supplement?
The research done by Louis Ignarro, along with almost a 100,000 other research publications, argue that you must take a product that has both L-arginine and L-citrulline (another key Amino Acid that works in synergy with L-arginine). Each dose of L-arginine should be no less than 4-6 grams.
The product must be specifically formulated for cardiovascular disease as opposed, for example, to weight training.
And because we are talking about your body, avoid those products that don’t know what’s in their own products – you know the sort – “this product might also contain nuts, fish oils and unknown substances”. It pays to pay for quality.
In effect L-arginine is all or nothing – you must receive the full dose, with the right formula and quality.
